Description |
Fragment of a sistrum rattle. Cast bronze figurehead depicting the goddess Hathor. Double sided with the same face on both sides. Head wears a decorated collar and is surmounted by a castellated frieze supported by cobra heads and decorated with geometric patterns. A seated cat figure (goddess Bastet) is on the top of the frieze. Figurine is the finial head of a handle that is broken off below the head's collar. Bronze disease damage. |
